Week 8

Session Plan and Activities

This week will also be a work week as you continue your preparation for the MTT Certification Exam and your work on your grant application. This will also be considered a work week in which you will be expected to spend the time working on your study guide presentation and your grant application.   You will also be expected to respond to your host in Diigo groups discussion area. This week you will be working on the following areas:

  • Meet in Collaborate
  • Study Guides Due/Posted on Portal page - Study Guide Presentations
  • Complete PPT Skills Apps B & Excel B
  • Complete Case Study C (mentoring)
  • Discussion on Diigo Groups
Readings

Your reading this week includes the Diigo EDTC 6343 Group Discussion that you will be expected to respond to.  This resource is not only an open forum to discuss issues you will face in education as teachers and as MTTs.  In addition, sharing relevant links will provide resources for you as well.  It is important to remember that the most effective way to make an impact on technology integration in education is to share the responsibility by networking with others.

Readings will also include research you are conducting for your Study Guide presentation and the research you are conducting as you search for an appropriate grant source for funding.

Discussion

As mentioned above, please respond to the weekly posting by students in the class.  A shared activity will make it more powerful.  Also, if you don't respond, you will not get full points for discussion.

Deliverables
  • Discussion
  • Work Time - NOTE:  in order to get credit for your work, please include a brief (approximately 150 words) summary of your work in the area of the grant and in the area of the study guide preparation. This summary should be posted on your wiki page.

Points for the week will be allocated as follows:

15 points
Meet in Collaborate 10 points
PowerPoint Skills App B  25 points
